Snow is melting quickly.
But we have still much snow.
Snow gorge condition is really bad, very hard and slippery.
It’s hard to step.
As shown in the picture, there is a big hole under snow gorge. When stepping on snow gorge, we may step through under the snow.

Momijidani Valley

Report about Momijidani valley
All snow gorge has gone.
Now on the trail fresh gree leaves are so beautiful and flowers start blooming.
We recommend this walking course.
As shown in the picture “Aconitum gigas” forms a big community.
“Weigela middendorffiana” and “Clematis alpina ssp. ochotensis” are blooming.
Momiji water fall that is this course goal is so heroic because of snow melting water.

Mt. Kurodake’s northeastern face

Seeing from the observation deck at 5th station of Mt.Kurodake, snow gorge in Mt. Kurodake melts and disappears.
But actually climbing Mt.Kurodake, you will know how much snow there is.
Most of trail is under the snow.

In Daisetuzan mountain range hikers must be careful not to lose their ways and not to slip and not to fall down.
In particular snow gorge under the top of Mt.Kurodake is really hard and very steep.
Be careful, please.

Mt. Midori snow report

Mt.Midoridake information
If you want to climb Mt.Midoridake, please wait for a while.
Because there is much snow.

When in foggy, you may miss your route.

When climbing up, you cannot find this big hole under the snow gorge.
When climbing down, you must walk on this snow bridge.
So please walk carefully.

Recently he comes out Route 39, sometimes is caught in a car.
In particular at night baby foxes find and eat insects, so they are caught in a car.
