Mt. Kurodake’s northeastern face

Mt.Kurodake snow report

Comparing with the last post (6/7), a lot of part of snow melted and disappeared.
But all the trail is still under the snow.
When climbing, be careful to climb.
Hikers need a winter outfit to climb Mt.Kurodake even in summer.

Notice
“The snow that is upper part of Mt.Nakadake onsen is unstable, be careful to walk.”
The snow that is on the steep slope is very dangerous and may slip down.
This situation will continue until end of June.
If you are beginner, we recommend to climb after snow melting.

Mt.Kurodake snow report
As shown in the picture all the trail is under the snow.
Comparing with last year, snow is melting quickly.
We can see the poles of 8th station and 9th station already.(June 1st we confirmed)
The trail near the top has no snow, like summer time trail.
(We can’t use toilet of Kurodake ishimuro)

Seeing from 7th station, we feel less snow than last year and snow is melting quickly.
But the trail is still under the snow.
When climbing, be careful not to fall down and not to be lost.
Please bring full gear to climb.
(Every year at this time many people slip and fall down, and hurt their body.
Be careful!)
