About Sounkyo Visitor Center
Established to bring people into contact with Daisetsuzan National Park’s natural environment, Sounkyo Visitor Center is a core facility that serves to help visitors study and experience nature and to promote its preservation.

November to May 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m - Days closed
- June to October Open every day
November to May Mondays

Notice: Building construction
Visitor center is in building construction due to saving energy and decarbonizing. We are afraid that might not be seen only some part of exhibitions during construction. But other than that is able to see. We are sincerely sorry for this inconvenience. To avoid coronavirus, we recommend wearing mask and antisepticise when you enter visitor center. Thank you for your understanding.
