Snow report of Mt.Kurodake
Many guests and people who contact us say that they heard this year’s snow is less than last year.
Actually this year’s snow is less than last year.
But most of the trail of Mt.Kurodake is under the snow.
Hikers have to walk on snow.
So be aware to fall down and to get lost. And there is a big hole under the snow gorge.
When stepping on snow, hikers step through under the snow gorge.

Climbing down is very dangerous.
The surface of snow is really hard and slippery.

Many hikers tried to climb to the top, but the trail was really bad. So they came back.
When you climb Mt.Kurodake, you need winter outfit to climb even in summer.
(Do not climb wearing summer shoes. It’s dangerous.)
(Today is hot, so snow is melting and becoming soft.)
