Momijidani
All snow is gone.
But there is fallen trees and rocks.

On hiking course “Rhododendron albrechtii” and “Menziesia pentandra”are blooming.
“Aconitum gigas” will full bloom soon.

Pteromys volans orii

Yesterday’s temperature was 27 °c in Kamikawa town.
The max temperature was 26.9°c(Japan Meteorological Agency Announces), the hottest day at this time of year.
The picture is Japanese flying squirrel (“Pteromys volans orii 〈Kuroda, 1921〉[2”]
He came out his nest at 12. He never comes out this time.
Japanese flying squirrel makes his nest with moss , bark of wood, fiver, subtilis and cells of acorn.
The nest keep warm, and it is very fluffy.
So his nest must be hot in this high temperature.
He must come out his nest to breath fresh and cool air.
He came out and came in a few times.
That is so funny.
Watch out your enemies.

In addition we take action as follows.

・We remove bench to take a distance.
・We regularly disinfect railing, tables, doors.
・We regularly let in some fresh air.
・We postpone nature observation meetings and cancel craft lecture for a while.
