Lepus timidus ainu

For “Lupus timidus ainu” now is molting season.
Depends on rabbits, their far are changing.
To take pictures of them is very difficult, but now is very easy.
Because they are not cautions very much.
It will start birth period.
They give birth on tall grass.
Mother rabbits only come to their baby to breastfeed.
(Sometimes mother rabbits make baby’s bed with bark.)
But crows, foxes and snakes try to eat them.
We hope baby rabbits grow up safety.

Sounkyo Gorge today

It is a beautiful sunny day, but very windy.
Temperature stays high for a while.
It will rain tomorrow.
Last evening we saw many lenticularis around the peak of Daisetuzan mountains.
Lenticularis seems to be hanging from the sky, is called “hanging cloud”.
These clouds are seen at the high mountains when it is very windy.
When moist air goes up and go through the mountain’s peak, thermal insulation cooling cause, and make lenticularis.
Mountain wave get airflow’s power, sometimes make double ,triple lenticularis like photos.
This meteorological phenomenon occur when windy.
In many cases after that the weather is getting worse.
On the other hand lenticularis brings good weather.
Today it is clear and sunny day with strong wind.
This cloud was seen in many places that is far from mountains.
And also TV program and SNS picked up this cloud.

In an effort to prevent and minimize the spread of the novel coronavirus, we are temporarily closed now.
