You can see the trail around Ezo-numa is under the water.
We think the water is going to settle down.
We recommend you to walk wearing rain boots.

Snowy gorge below the Mt. Hokuchindake junction

There is still big snow gorge.
Be careful to climb up and down.

These days the temperature on the top of the mountains is around 10 degees.
So the surface of snow gorge is getting harder and has no trail. Depends on the weather, when climbing down, be careful to walk please.
  • Take care to avoid slipping and falling.

Snowy gorges on the Mt. Aka course

Mt.Akadake snow report
From Mt.Akadake to Ginsendai the snow gorge is decreasing because these days the temperature has been high and weather is rain.

July 13rd a hiker slid down to hurt and was taken to the hospital by doctor helicopter
If hikers are not used to walking on the snow, please bring crampons, be careful to act.

Sometimes the sign to show the trail is fallen down or difficult to find.
Hikers seemed not to walk on the trail and walked on the flower. (look the picture, please.)
Watching the route carefully, hikers can find the trail.
We think that for hikers finding the trail is hard, but keep in mind walking the right trails.
Once you make foot prints, the plant will take a long time to recover.
To all mountaineers have a conscience and have a good time on the mountains.

Snow remain:
Dai-ichi kaen entrance 90m
The inner part of Dai-ichi kaen’ sign 50m
Dai-ni kaen all snow
Okuno-taira 60m
Dai-san sekkei (third snow gorge) the lower part of snow 30% snow remains
Dai-yon sekkei (forth snow gorge) the lower part of snow 40m and 10m

Direction of Kumonotaira

Sieversia pentapetala Phyllodoce caerulea are wilting.
But if you see them from a distant, they bloom in community.
Rhododendron aureum is still blooming.
Some of Sieversia pentapetala is in the best time ,some is ding ,having buds, finishing blooming to be fluff.
Potentilla matsumurae Primula cuneifolia var. cuneifolia are blooming,too.
You can enjoy to see flowers!

But Akaisi gawa River has much water and the flow is so fast.
Straight down The junction of Mt.Hokutindake there has snow gorge.
If you go there, prepare your gears and be careful to walk, please.
Today was windy from Mt.Kurodake.
At foothill of Mt.Kurodake temperature is rising.
On the top of mountains temperature is easy to change.
Thinking the weather, please bring something warm to wear.
  • Sieversia pentapetala : The flowers are in various stages of blooming, with some already ending, some in peak viewing season, and some just budding.
