Mt. Kurodake’s northeastern face

Flowers around the north east of Mt.Kurodake
Last time we told that Weigela middendorffiana
was the best time to see. The best time finished only one week.
This year’s alpine flowers bloom quickly and finish quickly because of the influence of weather.
Now Trollius riederianus ,Hypericum kamtschaticum, Filipendula camtschatica and
Cirsium kamtschaticum are blooming.
  • Trollius riederianus : It is peak viewing season.

Snowy gorges on the Mt. Aka course

Mt.Akaadake snow report
Daiichi kaen 20m snow left.
Daini kaen 69m snow left.
Daiyon sekkei 5m snow left.
The most careful place is Dai san sekkei .
Snow gorge from the middle part of trail to the bottom is hard to walk.
In case of climbing down and many hikers climbing up, you need to pay attention.

Aizankei Numanodaira

Around Numanodaora some flowers are the best time to see.
You can see Weigela middendorffiana and Eriophorum vaginatum L.( look at photo)
You can see also Mt. Asahidake from Rokunonuma marsh.
Hosta sieboldii var. rectifolia will bloom soon.
  • Numanotaira : Climb safely by allowing plenty of time.

Mt. Midori course flowering report

News about Mt.Midoridake
Snow on the Mt.Midoridake’ trail is melting.
Only big snow gorge left on Daiichi- kaen.
On Ridge the alpine flower’s best season has passed.
We can see the blue flowers like Pennellianthus frutescens,
Campanula chamissonis and Gentiana jamesii.
From now flowers that bloom in community will finish. is flying
We are waiting Gentiana algida f. igarashii
Vacciniina optilete daisetsuzana is flying around Mt.Midoridake.

Dini-kaen 30m and another 20m

From Daigakunuma to Kougennuma the rocks fell down.
Be careful to walk around there.
Around marshes only two snow gorges left because snow melted so quickly.
But the trail was easy to slip.
Be careful to walk. (in a few days snow will be gone.)
Around Yanbe junction there is a fallen tree.
When you walk, be careful please.
*this year hikers cannot walk around because of last year’s big typhoon.
Hikers can walk until Kougen-numa and have to back to the entrance.
If hikers meet people who don’t know about this, please tell them.
