Syosenen trail course open until Sep 30th.
This course is one-way.
Hikers cannot enter this course at Yashima junction.

“Sorbus matsumurana” is alomost over their peak.
Some leaves are falling down.
“Betula ermanii” and “Acer tschonoskii” have beautiful yellow leaves.
The slope of Mt.Nagayamadake and Mt.Toumadake is a very good view.
From rokunonuma to Touma nokkosi
“Betula ermanii” is falling its leaves now.
We miss the beautiful scenery.
When you go to Touma nokkossi in windy, you feel very cold there.
You must bring your rainwear and your jacket.
Sanjyu san magari trail is the final beautiful autum leaves view.
You will see beautiful yellow leaves of “Betula ermanii” and “Acer tschonoskii”, beautiful red leaves of “ Sorbus commixta” and “Acer ukurunduense”.

Kogen Onsen roundtrip course autumn leaves report

Numameguri (round trip course)
Leaves are getting beautiful.
At Kamo numa, Ezo numa and Sikibu numa that is located middle of this course coloring is almost peak.
At Midori numa and Takimi numa that is bottom of this course coloring is one step before peak.
At Daigakunuma and Kougen numa that is top of this course coloring is getting more beautiful.
From the perspective of prevending the spread of new coronavirus infection, one lecture before hiking has a limit on number of people.
Hikers had to wait more than 30minutes at 8 in this morning.
If you try to go a roundtrip of this course, you had better visit early.

Fall foliage report for Mt. Midori

Mt.Midoridake autumn leaves report
A top of south stream is called “Tasuki no Kouyou”.
Leaves around “Tasuki no Kouyou” is falling.
Now best view point is from Eiko stream cliff to Daiichi hanabatake.
At Daini hanabatake “Geum pentapetalum” is very beautiful to see.
At the bottom of forest belt “Sorbus commixta” and “Betula ermanii” have beautiful color leaves.

Today wind was so strong, so we felt so cold.
When you go to mountains, please bring something warm to wear.

Mt.Akdake autumn leaves report

Mt.Akadake autumnleaves on September 14th

It was not snow in this morning because of chills.
°The lowest temperature in Hakuun hut in this morning was -2°c.
It was so cold.

We found 10cm frost column near the trail.
Some leaves of ” Sorbus matsumurana” fell because of low temperature and yesterday’s strong wind.

At Daiichi kaen
“Sorbus matsumurana” past their best time.
But they are still beautiful.
“Betula ermanii” is turning yellow.
Overall the view is so good.

At Daini kaen
“Sorbus matsumurana” past their best time.
Some leaves turn brown like iron rust.

At Daisan sekkei
Some leaves of“Sorbus matsumurana” at the top of trail fell down.
Some of them were damaged by frost.
But overall it’s good seeing from distance.

At Daiyon sekkei
Most of leaves of “Sorbus matsumurana” lose their beautiful color.
“Arctous Niedenzu” at the ridge is getting dark black.
This view is like winter.

Hikers can use water at Hakuun Hut.
In the morning and at night this water flow become weak.
At the ridge temperature is less than 10°c in daytime.
In the morning and at night is minus degrees.
Please keep yourself warm and go to mountains.
