Kougen onsen “roundtrip course” autumn leaves

Autumn leaves in Kougen onsen roundtrip course past their peak.
But it is still beautiful.
If wind blows strong, leaves might fall down.
Please come and see this beautiful view as soon as possible.

A lecture before hiking has a limit on the number of people due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Please come with plenty of time.

Day by day leaves are coloring better and brighter.

Today’s Sounkyo gorge
Day by day leaves get more colorful.
Around Onsen mall autumn leaves are so beautiful.
But there are many green leaves, we can see autumn leaves for a long time.
(We hope good weather stays for a long time)

This year’s autumn leaves comes the fastest in past 5 years.

At mountains 2017’s autumn leaves was best, and also autumn leaves came fast.
(The best view came on Sep 25th in 2017. Last year’s came on Oct 4th.)

We are looking forward to seeing a beautiful view street from Sounkyo to Mikuni pass on National high way route 39.

Now is so beautiful. Please come and see it!

Sounkyo gorge
At Sounkyo gorge leaves start coloring.
Green leaves turn yellow green, and yellow.
At the top of gorge “Sorbus commixta” turn red.
When you get on the ropeway, leaves are coloring day by day, soon you will see beautiful autumn leaves.

Information
*Kurodake Ishimuro is closed because of winter.
(Hikers can use this hut in case of emergency.)
Hut keepers stay until Sep 26th.
*Mt.Hakuun Hut’s keepers stay until Oct 3rd, and then they leave in Oct 4th.
(In case of bad weather it might change this schedule.)
