Recently it has been colder than an average year.

Caltha fistulosa has bloomed.
I feel spring is coming day by day.
The bottom of the mountains the snow continues to melt.
But surprisingly just now it snowed.

It will take a long time to feel “genuine spring”
The seventh station of the mountain it has 380 m snow deep!
The snow deep became less than last year.
As it snowed, it returns as much as last year’s.

Look at Today’s Sounkyo Gorge !!

Around the top of the mountains,
Snow trees (rime or trees) were seen.

Early morning minimum temperature was -4℃ because it was little bit cold.
The road is really slippery.
When you drive a car or walk around Sounkyo spa town, please watch your step.

At foot moutain soon 「Ursus arctos yesonesis」started to move.
This photo is footprint of baby bear.
Next to them I found parent’s.
When you go to woods with snowshoes
(including getting wild vegetables)　please take care of yourself!
Don’t forget to bring bells!

Today has been a beautiful day since early morning,day by day snow is melting at foot of mountain.
Surprisingly it snowed more than 30 cm deep a few days ago.
But Cygnus columbianus that are called 「passenger of spring」have come in couple days.
I really hope it is getting spring time!

FinallyIwent to meet Pteromys volans orii.
But already he has gone out from the burrow, and excreted.
It is getting warmer each day.
Today is so beautiful day!
How about taking for a walk in early spring?
