Autumn leaves report in Mt.Kurodake
From the observation deck at 5th station of Mt.Kurodake we can see Mt.Kurodake , is turning from green to yellow green, some leaves are turning red.
In particular both side of stream near the Mnaekiiwa that is east slope at 9th station of Mt.Kurodake is coloring day by day.
When we actually tried to hike up, we could see “Sorbus matsumurana” are colored from 7th station to the summit, “Hypericum kamtschaticum” is coloring day by day.
From the summit of Mt.Kurodake to Mt.Ponkurodake we could see “Arctous alpina (L.) Niedenzu var. japonica (Nakai) Ohwi” is really beautiful and deep red.
Now is good to see.
Today is really windy.
Sometimes we were not able to stand there because of strong wind.
Please bring something warm to wear.
(When hiking up, it is still hot. Be careful not to be heat stroke)
*Akaishi river’s water is a lot, but hikers can cross. Depends on weather the situation is changing. Bring your full equipment.
*snow under the junction of Mt.Hokuchindake is gone.
When it is foggy, be careful not to get lost. (The sign is new, so hikers don’t miss it!)
