Around Kumono taira
“Geum pentapetalum” and ” Phyllodoce caerulea” make a community to bloom partially.
Some flowers that is near the trail are dying.
Some “Geum pentapetalum” have a fluffy.

From a distance these flower is really beautiful.
So if you want to see flowers, rush to Kumonodaira!

Snow just under the junction of Mt.Hokuchindake is melting.
When going down, this trail is very slippery, watch your step.

But it was almost foggy. (Sometimes it was suuny.)

When it is sunny and hot, you might get heat stroke.
When it is cloudy and windy, you might feel cold at the top.
Prepare your enough gear and go hiking safety.

Direction of the Akaishi River

As shown in the picture, ” Phyllodoce caerulea”, “Primula cuneifolia Ledeb. var. hakusanensis Makino” ,” Rhododendron aureum” , “Loiseleuria procumbens”, “Geum pentapetalum” make communities to bloom after snow is gone.
Near Ishimuro ” Rhododendron aureum” , “Primula cuneifolia Ledeb. var. hakusanensis Makino” , ” Phyllodoce caerulea”, “Geum pentapetalum” start to bloom.

Akaishi river has less water and calm.
It is easy to cross.

Just below the peak of Mt. Kurodake

Just under Mt.Kurodake
“Therorhodion camtschaticum” is really good to see.
There are many buds, hikers can see for a while.
And also “Pennellianthus frutescens”, “Cassiope lycopodioides (Pall.) D.Don”, “Patrinia sibirica”, and “Dicentra peregrina” will be good time to see soon.
From 8th station of Mt.Kurodake to the top many kinds and number of wild flower start to bloom.

Mt.Akadake snow report

*Daiichi kaen
There is about 20m snow near the stream , about 40m snow over the sign, about 20m snow directly under the Miharasi dai.
The snow might be hard and slippery. Watch your step when crossing.
*Daini kaen
All trails is under the snow. At the top of Okunodaira hikers cross on 30m snow.
There is a maker sign on the snow.
when it’s foggy deeply, do not miss the sign.
*Daisan sekkei
There is no snow on the trail.
*Daiyon sekkei
Most of snow is gone.
