Today from afternoon it was rain in Sounkyo.
In the morning and in the evening the temperature is below freezing.
In the afternoon the temperature is sometime over 10 c°.
But Mt.Kurodake’s snow is good condition.
Snow still falls, the amount of snowfall is 450cm.
It is about 60cm more than last year’s.
Last year end of April snow fell about 50cm.
I can’t feel relieved.

On the foot of mountains swans came, Adonis bloomed.
Spring is almost here!

I saw Loxia curvirostra after so long.
Now is a good season to watch many rare wild birds.

When it is nice and warm, how about going out to watch “rare wild birds”?

In these days it has been clear and sunny, the temperature is rising.
But in the morning and in the night the temperature is still below freezing.
We feel spring will come soon.
Of course animals feel spring and started to move.
The photo shows a bear’s footprint.
We found these the beginning of March.
But now we found a few footprints.

When you go to mountains to get wild vegetables and climb, be careful enjoy safety.

Mt,Kurodake and the other mountains are very beautiful.
Talking about snow amount and condition, amount of snowfall is still increasing.
On the 7th station of Mt.Kurodake there is 470cm snow.
This is about 40cm more than last year’s.

Over the weekend the temperature is staying high.
We hope high temperature will melt snow.
The second photo is a cornice in front of the 5th station hut.
It is really high and big!
