After that it changed to snow.
We got wet snow on the gorge.
Now wind blows strongly, snow storm.
We will get a lot of snow.
Weather forecast says that it won’t rain for a few days.
Today’s lowest temperature is under -10°c same as yesterday.
This low temperature will last until new Year.
Around New Year days it will be -20°c.
Sounkyo will be frigid place.

The temperature is often going up and down.
It’s so busy.
This early morning was -12°c.
In such a day we can see “window’s frost”.
Today’s frost pattern was like a fan.
That is very rare.
Frost pattern have many kinds of shapes, like a needle, far and blanch of trees.
Water vapor in the air freeze to make frost.

Since early morning snow has been falling.

We will have much snow today.

Visibility is very poor because of heavy snow.
December is tough month for deer.
For deer it is very difficult to walk in the deep snow with thin legs.
After wolves exterminated, natural enemy is snow and human for deer.
We often find deer’s fall accidents in this year.

After raining it began to snow.

Since yesterday we have had 25cm snow (Japan Meteorological Agency announcement)
But the wind was so strong yesterday, we had about 70cm snow at different locations in this early morning.
Today’s Sounkyo is everything white.
Despite of raining, we have 52cm snow.
Berries of “Sorbus commixta ” is covered with snow.
For wild birds it’s hard to get their food.
