Sciurus vulgaris orientis(Hokkaido squirrel )

It was quite windy morning, I met Hokkaido squirrel. That time, Hokkaido squirrel cried with threatening voice towards me while moving under the trees. When Hokkaido squirrel move up the tree, the ears and tail of squirrel hairs were moving by strong wind. It was charming that the squirrel hold the branch penitently.

It was snow

It have been snowing. The temperature have been below 0 degrees these days in Sounkyo. Adnis flowers (fukujyuso in Japanese) withered by snow and coldness. On the other hand, weather forecast says that the temperature will be warm in next weekend about nearly 20degrees. Finally, spring is coming in Sounkyo.

Lepus timidus ainu(Ezo snow rabbit)

Lepus timidus ainu (Ezo snow rabbit) have been breeding period now. Their breeding period are usually from February to July. They are chasing and sometimes stop to stare each other. Now, birds in Kamikawa town have been also breeding period. They had started to make nests up the trees. Spring has come in Kamikawa town, so animals and birds look busy for new actions.

The weather is very easy to change in Sounkyo.
Sometimes very clear sky, sometimes snowing since early morning.

Recently temperature is more than 10°c.
It will be snowing from this weekend.
We are looking forward to spring.

Now it is very difficult to go out because of covid-19.
How about going to find birds in the woods.
To feel nature is good for your mind and health.
