The snow continues to melt.

Day by day snow is melting.

Weather in Sounkyo is very unstable, but snow on the gorge started melting, it is getting spring. We found “Japanese butterbur scape” in the place where the snow melted.

Bird watching

Recently day time temperature is almost over 0°c.
It is about 1°c~5°, but it is getting warmer!!
Wild birds is getting active.
Today we came across “Megaceryle lugubris” around Ishikari river.
His voice is very characteristic, high-pitched voice.
In that day he dived into the river to catch the fish.
“Megaceryle lugubris” falls his far to the river deliberately, fish misunderstand it bait, and he gets fish, we heard.

Day by day season is changing spring.
We recommend to go out to field to see birds, trees, flowers and feel nature.
