They went up and down on the tree, sometimes ran around the tree.

Are they married?
Their breeding season depends on individual differences as same as “Lepus timidus ainu”.
The breeding season is February to July.
Birth time is April to August.
How long, isn’t it?

We will see baby squirrel beginning of summer.
We quietly watch over it.

Today’s Sounkyo
“Rhododendron dauricum” is good time to see.
It blooms along national high way.
The range is not so wide, but Gorge is dyed pink, so beautiful!
And from central Kamikawa town to Sounkyo along Route 39 cherry blossom is blooming.
We feel spring has come.

Aizankei Onsen is preparing.
So you can take a bath.

Do you know “Kamikawa park” in central Kamikawa town?
Drive to Kamikawa town from Sounkyo for 20minutes, you get there.

We found the blooming in May 1st.
That is 2days earlier than last year.
Around the park you can see “Rhododendron dauricum”, “Anemone debilis”, “Adonis ramosa” and “Corydalis fumariifolia subsp. azurea”.
It is very good walking path.
There are many wild birds.
You may see “Sciurus vulgaris orientis”.
You can see snow-capped Daisetuzan and cherry blossom .
That is an amazing view.
We recommend you to go there.

Sounkyo famous sightseeing spot “Momijidani”

There is a lot of snow left.
Some place is very dangerous.
This course is not good for everyone.
There are fallen trees and fallen stones.
Flower has not bloomed yet.
Please wait for a while.

Wild rabbit almost change his fur.
We think that it will be summer fur half a month later.

Breeding season is from end of February to July.
Birth season is from April to August.
It is very rare to find baby rabbits..
And more they are eaten by natural enemy
Survival rate of rabbit is only 10%.

They don’t make nest for babies.
They give birth to a baby on the grass.
Some rabbit make a nest with blanch.
Natural enemy like a fox find and attack.

Reopening is June 1st as summer lift.
