Sounkyo gorge
Strong wind has been blowing for a few days.
So autumn leaves in gorge are getting brown leaves.

But autumn leaves are still good.
Please come and see beautiful autumn scenery as soon as you can.

In the morning and at night it is very cold.
Please come with warm wear.

Daisetsuzan first snow report

Asahikawa meteorological observatory said it snowed at Mt.Asahidake Oct.6 for the first time in this season.
Same day Mt.Kurodake also had first snow.
Daisetsuzan took a step forward to winter season.

Forest road to Numanohara trail head closes next week, so we went to Numanohara to take pictures of Mt.Tomurausi covered with snow.
Above the elevation of 1700~1800 m mountains are covered with snow.
The mountain ridge is now winter scenery.

Many traffic main road to trailhead close soon.
As we posted before, Prefectural road Ginsendai line close at 11 today,
Kougen onsen line close on Oct 11th at 17, Prefectural road Aizankei line close on Oct 14th at 11 because of winter.

Sounkyo　gorge

Now is the best time to see autumn leaves.
Overall, autumn leaves are really good.
Everyday strong wind blows many leaves off.
But leave’s color is becoming better day by day.

Last night Daisetsuzan mountains had snow.
Yesterday’s snow is more than last snow.
Mountains covered with snow are so beautiful.

Now high mountains are winter.
Please go to mountains with winter gear.

Autumn leaves in Sounkyo gorge is becoming darker day by day.
This photo is “Mikuni pass”
Some leaves are yellow brown that is not good color.
But now it is so beautiful around the top.

*10/7 Prefectural road Ginsendai line close at 11.
*10/11 Kougen onsen line close at 17
*10/14 Prefectural road Aizankei line close at 11
*The Hakuun hut managers stay until 10/3, and then there is no manager in Hut.

Momijidani
At the entrance of Monijidani you will see beautiful color leaves.
Today is very windy, leaves dance very violently.
This leaves color is getting dark.

There is a few parking space.
We recommend you to walk there seeing beautiful autumn leaves.
(It takes 10min from Onsen mall.)
