Seeing from the observation deck at 5th station of Mt.Kurodake, snow gorge in Mt. Kurodake melts and disappears.
But actually climbing Mt.Kurodake, you will know how much snow there is.
Most of trail is under the snow.

In Daisetuzan mountain range hikers must be careful not to lose their ways and not to slip and not to fall down.
In particular snow gorge under the top of Mt.Kurodake is really hard and very steep.
Be careful, please.

If you want to climb Mt.Midoridake, please wait for a while.
Because there is much snow.

It is very difficult to climb Mt.Midori.
When in foggy, you may miss your route.

Big snow gorge is melting to be a big tunnel or a big snow bridge.
When climbing up, you cannot find this big hole under the snow gorge.
When climbing down, you must walk on this snow bridge.
So please walk carefully.

In a few days forest patrol staff will check this trail, please wait for a while.

The picture is a baby fox.
Recently he comes out Route 39, sometimes is caught in a car.
In particular at night baby foxes find and eat insects, so they are caught in a car.
Now deers and, mother foxes, raccoons and sables appear.
We find rabbits recently.
When driving at night, be careful to drive.

Comparing with the last post (6/7), a lot of part of snow melted and disappeared.
But all the trail is still under the snow.
When climbing, be careful to climb.
Hikers need a winter outfit to climb Mt.Kurodake even in summer.

“The snow that is upper part of Mt.Nakadake onsen is unstable, be careful to walk.”
The snow that is on the steep slope is very dangerous and may slip down.
This situation will continue until end of June.
If you are beginner, we recommend to climb after snow melting.

Comparing with last year, snow is melting quickly.
We can see the poles of 8th station and 9th station already.(June 1st we confirmed)
The trail near the top has no snow, like summer time trail.
(We can’t use toilet of Kurodake ishimuro)

Seeing from 7th station, we feel less snow than last year and snow is melting quickly.
But the trail is still under the snow.
When climbing, be careful not to fall down and not to be lost.
Please bring full gear to climb.
(Every year at this time many people slip and fall down, and hurt their body.
