Yesterday I turned on the heater without hesitation, it snowed on the mountains as I thought.
After the weather was getting better,
I drove the road to “Kougen onsen” that was opened yesterday, and saw how “Mt.Midori-dake” was.
Depends on the area I could see the patches of thin ice, the frost olumns.
I feel early spring!
As usual year the trecking course has a lot of snow,
I only recommend th
e mountaineers who can read the map.
I took this photos where is from the 1st flower garden (Diichi hanabatake) to summer road.
Here I set up the map and compass ,and walked straight, and finally found the garage place of “Eiko-sawa”.
If you don’t understand the above sentence, it’s safely not to go.
Under the “Miharasi-dai” has still snow, and the trees are fallen down.
You need to find the route.
On the ridge it snowed.
Wild flowers bloomed later than the average year.
Arcterica nana and Arctous Alpina bloom some place.
Rhondodendron aureum that bloomed finally were hurt by snow and ice,
it will take more time to see the flowers.
I have walked in the “Daisetu-zan “ for 20 years.
I watched the wall of snow for the first time.
Please look the photo.
Walking “Itagaki shindou” after turning the junction ,on the bottom of the snow field, I I found more than 3meters height snow wall!
I used the snow axe to make the road, and went through there.
When you walk through the snow field from the “Hakuun hutte”
Please keep your mind the dander to fall in foggy conditions.
The manager of “Hakuun hutte” will come around June 20th.
