Fall foliage report for Mt. Midori

It has been hot since summer, so leaves are not turning color.
Now is end of September, at last we can see beautiful autumn leaves.
“Geum pentapetalum” that is at the Daiichi hanabatake and Daini hanabatake will be beautiful red in a few days. And also “Sorbus matsumurana” and “Betula ermanii” will be peak coloring.
A big community of “Sorbus matsumurana” that is seen from rocky slope, we call “Autumn leaves like a belt ” is good time to see.
But leaves are not bright color.
When the sun shine, leaves will be brighter

About temperature
Today’s temperature was less than 10 degrees today. (It was 7°c at 11.)
Wind blowing around ridge was biting cold
Last year’s first snow was Sep 19th.
Whenever temperature is going down, it snow this period..
When you go to mountains, please bring something warm to wear.
