Mt. Midori course flowering report

News about Mt.Midoridake
Snow on the Mt.Midoridake’ trail is melting.
Only big snow gorge left on Daiichi- kaen.
On Ridge the alpine flower’s best season has passed.
We can see the blue flowers like Pennellianthus frutescens,
Campanula chamissonis and Gentiana jamesii.
From now flowers that bloom in community will finish. is flying
We are waiting Gentiana algida f. igarashii
Vacciniina optilete daisetsuzana is flying around Mt.Midoridake.

Snow report:
Daiichi-kaen about 60 m
Dini-kaen 30m and another 20m
Eiko no sawa 2m
  • Campanula chamissonis : The flowers have bloomed.

Daisetsu Kogen-numa

From Daigakunuma to Kougennuma the rocks fell down.
Be careful to walk around there.
Around marshes only two snow gorges left because snow melted so quickly.
But the trail was easy to slip.
Be careful to walk. (in a few days snow will be gone.)
Around Yanbe junction there is a fallen tree.
When you walk, be careful please.
*this year hikers cannot walk around because of last year’s big typhoon.
Hikers can walk until Kougen-numa and have to back to the entrance.
If hikers meet people who don’t know about this, please tell them.
  • Watch for falling rocks

I told the last news. Please look at photos.
You can see the trail around Ezo-numa is under the water.
We think the water is going to settle down.
We recommend you to walk wearing rain boots.
  • Spats should be used.
