In these days it was warm, so some flowers start blooming.

At Momijidani hiking course you will feel power of forest.
We would like you to visit Sounkyo and Momijidani hiking course.

Cerasus nipponica var. kurilensis on Mt. Kurodake

“Cerasus nipponica var. kurilensis (Miyabe) H.Ohba” is blooming at 5th station of Mt.Kurodake.
It bloomed the last in Japan.

Around 5th station “Rhododendron dauricum” and “Potentilla matsumurae” and another alpine plants start blooming one and another.


Kurodake pair lift that is under construction starts to operate on Jun 1st.

Please come to Mt.Kurodake and see fresh green and beautiful flowers!

Momijidani Valley

Flower season has come in Momijidani.
“Anemone flaccida”, “Anemone debilis”, “Trillium tschonoskii ”, “Viola selkirkii Pursh ex Goldie f. lacinaata ”, “Oxalis acetosella”, “Menziesia pentandra”, “Rhododendron albrechtii”
“Corydalis fumariifolia subsp. azurea” are blooming now.

In Momijidani cute and tiny flowers are blooming one after another.

Shall we go watching and seeingflowers and very refreshing Momiji fall?

Kurodake, five stations, observatory

Today’s Mt.Kurodake view from 5th station
The walking path at 5th station has no snow.
But there are still snow in the woods.
Around 5th station of Mt.Kurodake “Rhododendron aureum” stated blooming.
, also “Heloniopsis orientalis”and “Arabis serrata var. glauca” did beautifully.

Alpine flower season has started in Mt.Kurodake.
