Information about Mt.Akadake, Koizumidaira, Hakuun hut aHokkaidake
We went to Mt.Akadake ~Hakuun hut ~Mt.Hokuchin with internship students.
The trail is almost good condition.
Mt.Akadake dainikaen is all covered with snow, in the bottom of Itagaki shindou snow divided into two snow.
Hokkaizawa crossing point is also covered with snow.
Around Hakuun camping site really bad fox walks around.
He wants food. Do not leave food, please.

From Mt.Akadake to Koizumi to Hakuun hut “Gentiana algida f. igarashii” is blooming now.
Around Hakuun hut cream color flower bloom in big community.
It’s very beautiful.

Information about Mt.Kurodake
*northwest slope of Mt. Kurodake
Most of flowers finished to bloom.instead autumn flowers started blooming.
Hikers can see “Cirsium”.” Aconitum yamazakii”.” Solidago virgaurea subsp. leiocarpa” and “Filipendula camtschatica”.

*the summit of Mt.Kurodake ~Kumonotaira
This year flowers don’t bloom very much because of bad weather.
Around the summit “Pennellianthus frutescens”bloom in the community.

*Akaishi river
Today the flow is calm, the water is not much.
But hikers need full equipment.
As the pictures show “Primula cuneifolia”,” Phyllodoce aleutica” and ” Geum pentapetalum” make a small community.

*about water in Ishimuro hut
They have no water.
The caretakers bring snow and crush it and melt,make water.
But that is a little.
When climbing, bring water, please.
*Do not leave garbage, please. We find many garbage on the trail.
The patrol people repair the trail. That is really hard work.
Please help them to bring garbage to home.

*End of last week
We had frost at Ishimuro hut.
The temperature was under 10°c.
So around Mt.Ponkurodake the plants like “Sorbus matsumurana” and ” Arctous alpina var. japonica” started to turn red.
But today’s morning temperature was 11°c, very warm.
Depends on the weather autumn color won’t start early.
*Today was really hot. We worry about heatstroke.
But the weather in the mountain is easy to change, sometimes on the summit we meet strong wind, rain.
Please take something warm to wear.
Near the Akaishi river we found brown bear’s trace.
