Fall foliage at Daisetsu Kogen-numa

Autumn leaves information about Daisetu Kougen Onsen Numa meburi
This year around Kougennuma Pond some leaves started turning red and yellow earlier than last year due to the climate.

Now some part is really good to see.
From now we will be able to see beautiful autumn leaves.

Hikers cannot go around trip.
Hikers can go to Karanuma, and turn back.
Because last year’s typhoon gave a damage this trail.

In these days it has been cold in the morning and night.
It makes leaves turn red and yellow.
Now leaves are very beautiful.
At Daiyon sekkei we found some leaves withering.
Except for that we can see really bright red leaves and grasses.

From tomorrow the weather forecast says that wind will be strong.
If you go hiking, be careful.

*Kurodake ishimuro toilet is out of order.
So there are two “toilet booth” near Kurodake Ishimuro.
Please bring portable toilet by yourself, please.

Hikers can buy portable toilet at Visitor Center and Rope way station.
After using portable toilet, please bring to portable toilet garbage box where is next to Visitor center.

Autumn leaves information about Mt.Akadake

From September 15th shuttle buses to Ginsendai start to operate.
And autumn leaves is getting beautiful.
Seen from Ginsendai,we know leaves change their color
This weekend ~the beginning of next week it will be good time to see autumn leaves.
At Daini kaen snow has melted, it is easy to walk.

At Daisan sekkei the top ~ridge line
some leaves of “Sorbus matsumurana” fall. But we see green leaves.
From now the leaves will turn red.

At Daiyonsekkei We see fallen leaves and darken leaves.
At the ridge “Arctous alpina var. japonica” changed darken.
The best time to see autumn leaves has pasted.

Snow on the trail has almost melted. But there are two snow spots at the bottom of Itagaki shindou.
When going down from Hakuun hut, be careful not to slip down.
At Hakuun hut there is water, but not enough.
Hikers can use water until hut closes.
In Sounkyo in the morning and in the night the temperature is 1°c~9°c.
It is very cold.
Bring something warm to wear, and enjoy seeing autumn leaves, please.
