Sounkyo gorge
Around Sounkyo onsen mall leaves are still beautiful, but some leaves are falling and dying.
But at the “Rikuman” that is located the entrance of Daisetsuzan national park we can see beautiful red leaves.
Today is clear and warm day.
Many people visit to see red leaves.
But now is end of October .
Soon all leaves will gone.
And snow fall.
The scenery will change white snow winter.
In January we plan ‘snow shoes hiking tour’

It snowed in Sounkyo.
This early morning it snowed in Sounkyo.
Weather is raining ~hailstone~snow, and now is sunny.
The top of Sounkyo gorge was covered with snow, but at the foot of gorge snow was gone.
Weather forecast says that it is sunny, we think snow will melt today.

Fortunately red leaves didn’t get snow.
You can see beautiful leaves.

In the early morning the lowest temperature got below zero.
Now is 8°c, very chilly.
Red leaves are still beautiful.
Some of them are falling and dying.
We can see autumn leaves for a long time.
It seem that it will be warm day for a while.
We will see autumn leaves more.
Please come with warm clothing.
Please drive here safety.
Sometimes around Mikuni pass and other pass it will snow this time.
Be careful to drive.

Sounkyo gorge
Autumn leaves are so beautiful here in Sounkyo gorge.
Big typhoon is approaching, and after typhoon it will be cold.
We are worried that every leaves is gone.

If typhoon inpact is minimal, we will see white snow in mountains and red leaves in the foot of Mountains.
My thought are with everyone who has been affected by this typhoon.
