Trail information after heavy rain
Long and heavy rain made big disasters in many places.
Daisetuzan mountain range got big damages, too.
When climbing mountains, please check the latest update.

Yesterday we went to check the trail condition from Mt.Kurodake to Mt.Asahidake.
(This route is the busiest trail in Daisetuzan.)
The rock wall on the trail from Mt.Mamiyadake to Mt.Nakadake is broken.
Big rocks are scattered. When walking around here, please watch your step.
The trail on Kumonotaira was eaten away.
The earth and sand flood into the area of plants.

Yesterday we saw the foreign hiker wearing sandals climbing on the snow at Mt.Hokuchin.
The sandals are made by famous outdoor brand, functional is better than the other sandals. It’s dangerous!!
I talked him to help, but he didn’t need help.
But he took three times more time to climb down.
We did update on July 7th, snow on the Mt.Hokuchin is not undulating and easy to climb up and down.
But in the morning the snow face freeze. In case you might need crampons.
As usual the snow is lifted up and when it make slope steep, it’s dangerous to slide down.
Please climb safely with full equipment.
  • Climbers should be sure to bring all of the gear needed to climb safely.

  • Take care to avoid slipping and falling.
