Fall foliage report for Mt. Aka

Mt.Akadake autumn leaves report

Leaves on the trail to Mt.Akadake begins to turn red.
This photo is not clear to find coloring, but we can say, ”Leaves are turning red at Daiichikaen.”

At the upper of Dainikaen “Sorbus matsumurana” is coloring,
on the other hand “Phyllodoce aleutica” are still blooming.
Because Daisetsuzan have much snow, so we can see summer and autumn together.

At the upper of Daisan sekkei red leaves are more beautiful than pictures.
From the summit of Mt.Akadake to Koizumidaira, Hananosawa “Arctous alpina var. japonica”is very beautiful.

Snow on the trail at Hananosawa has gone.
But at the bottom of Itagaki shindou there is a big snow gorge.
It is very hard and slippery.
Watch your step.

At mountain ridge the wind is chilly, so prepare something warm to wear.
Please have an autumn hiking.
